Schomp Automotive is gearing up to celebrate our biggest sale of the year: The Children’s Hospital Colorado Sale, June 23rd through 28th. This year actually marks the 31st year for the sale, which returned last year after a break begun during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

This will be our biggest sale ever, with special discounts from June 23rd through June 28th. Schomp will offer a donation to Children’s Hospital Colorado’s Burn Center out of the profits from the sale of each new and pre-owned vehicle. 

This year marks a 35-year partnership with Children’s Hospital Colorado. Since 1990, Schomp has donated about $640,000 to Children’s Hospital Colorado – providing financial support every year, even during the 2019-2023 hiatus. 

A Sale with an Important Purpose

We’re All About Raising Money and Having Fun

 

Every one of the Schomp dealerships is planning family-friendly fun and exciting offerings, including music, local celebrity appearances, food and ice cream trucks, bubble machines, coloring stations, and other activities for children – after all, this week is about raising money for Children’s Hospital Colorado’s Burn Center!

Meet Julian, Our Returning Ambassador

Our Children’s Hospital Colorado Sale Ambassador, Julian, is an outstanding example of the important work the Children’s Hospital Colorado Burn Center does. This is Julian’s second year as Ambassador, and his story is a compelling one. 

As a toddler, Julian loved to help his parents, and that included helping his mom in the kitchen. With a pot of noodles boiling on the stove, Julian’s mom turned away just long enough for Julian to grab a spoon in the pot, pulling the boiling noodles and water off the stove and onto his arm, resulting in severe burns. He was rushed to Children’s Hospital Colorado, where the expert Burn Center team treated his burns, bandaged his arm, and put together a treatment plan, including a skin graft operation three weeks later.

 
As he got older, Julian attended Children’s Hospital Colorado’s Burn Camp. He met other kids who’d experienced severe burns and their families, who formed a mutual support system. Now Julian is about to graduate from high school, where he was a whiz on his school’s robotics team. We know Julian will continue to advocate for other burn victims as he moves into a productive adult life.
