The EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology safety system got a thumbs-up (the Forester recently earned an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety TOP SAFETY PICK+ designation). The 2025 Forester comes standard with Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering and Steering Responsive LED headlights. Available equipment includes Reverse Automatic Braking, Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Emergency Stop Assist.

Panelists also loved the Forester’s great visibility, 87.7-inch ground clearance and vibe that invites families to get out in nature, another reason it’s a favorite of Colorado drivers. 

The five-seat 2025 Subaru Forester comes in five different trim levels, has an updated, quiet interior with textured trim accents and a dark headliner that hides scuffs and scratches. And the cargo space! It holds almost 30 cubic feet of stuff and almost 75 cubic feet with the seats folded down. 

Fuel efficiency is important to families and the Forester gets up to 33 mpg on the highway and 26 mpg in the city with the standard 2.5-liter, four-cylinder SUBARU BOXER® engine that produces 180 horsepower. For even more efficiency, there’s the Forester Hybrid with a range of up to 581 miles and gets up to 40 percent better city fuel economy than its gas-powered sibling.
